WELCOME TO THE INTERNET SITE OF LIGHTHELMETS.COM, PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE.

By using LIGHTHELMETS.com, you signify your agreement to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms of use, you may not use the site. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, add, or delete portions of these terms of use at any time in accordance with the procedures set forth below.

RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF MATERIALS

All materials contained in any LIGHTHELMETS.com Site are the copyrighted property of Safer Sports LLC.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

All returns or exchanges of merchandise (including claims of mis-shipment, shortages, defective workmanship, etc.) must be made within 30 days of the date of shipment. Please contact LIGHT Helmets Customer Service at 760-444-0082 for directions on how to return your order and to receive a return authorization number. A return authorization number must be received before returns will be accepted. If you acquired your merchandise through an authorized LIGHT Helmet dealer please contact that dealer for direction on how to process a return. LIGHT Helmets is not responsible for return shipping unless the merchandise  is found to be defective. LIGHT Helmets is not liable for lost packages.

RESTOCKING FEE

Products being returned for size exchange will not have a restocking fee applied, while products being returned for credit will incur a 15% restocking fee. Credit will not be issued for the original shipping cost; however, credit will be issued for the original purchase price (less the 15% restocking fee if applicable) and any applicable taxes. Once your return is received, a credit will be issued within 14 business days. Please allow one billing cycle for credit card refunds to appear on your statement. Custom orders, including painted helmets and facemasks, are NOT refundable. All merchandise must be returned in its original condition and packaging and can not have been worn, washed or used.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE

Returns on eligible items will not be accepted if any part of the above procedure  is not followed. This includes, but is not limited to, returns attempted past 30 days from shipment receipt, returns without a return authorization number, returns of custom colors, and returns of helmets that have been worn on the field of play.

CANCELLATIONS OF ORDERS

An order cannot be cancelled or changed under any circumstances.  Please review your order carefully prior to finalizing it.  If you have questions about an item that you are considering ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact the LIGHT Helmets Customer Service at 760-444-0082. We are more than willing to answer any questions you may have including size, color and specifications.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

LIGHT Helmets have a 10-year expected lifespan with normal use and proper maintenance and LIGHT Helmets extends a 5-year shell warranty from the date of purchase.  In addition, football helmet component parts are warrantied to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from purchase provided there has been normal use a proper maintenance.  Proper maintenance requires reconditioning of your helmet at least every two (2) years by LIGHT Helmets (or, if approved by LIGHT Helmets an alternative NOCSAE Licensed Reconditioner) using only new factory replacement parts in the reconditioning process. The warranty does not extend to any third parties.

  • The following circumstances will VOID the LIGHT Helmets warranty: Warranty on shell is limited to delamination (flexing of materials/cracking of outer gel-coat) or fractures under normal usage and excludes cosmetic wear Warranty does not apply to wearer’s mistreatment, negligence, alterations, mishaps, etc; Failure to have the helmet reconditioned re-certified by LIGHT Helmets every 2 years from the date of purchase;

Damage or removal of helmet stickers including warning, date of production, or re-certification stickers; Painting the helmet with a paint other than that approved by of LIGHT Helmets;

  • Applying waxes of another manufacturer not approved by LIGHT Helmets;
  • The application of internal or external devices to the helmet not approved by LIGHT Helmets
  • Any aftermarket or third-party alterations made to the existing helmet structure not approved by LIGHT Helmets or any alterations that violate NOCSAE guidelines, including facemasks not approved by LIGHT Helmets or facemasks of material other than titanium
  • Abusive treatments or any use of the helmet other than the playing of American football.

*Disclaimer: No helmet can prevent serious head or neck injuries a player may receive while participating in American football.

SHIPPING

LIGHT Helmets ships using UPS Ground.

Orders are processed promptly, on a first in, first out basis:

Custom helmets and facemask orders average 15-20 business days for shipping.

All in-stock helmets average 7-10 business days for shipping.

LIGHT Helmets assumes no liability for delays in, or failure to make delivery due to our inability to obtain supplies, raw materials, labor or due to conditions over which we have no control, including delays of carriers, accidents, strikes, war, or any other unavoidable cause.

PLEASE INSPECT ALL MERCHANDISE AT TIME OF DELIVERY

All shipments must be inspected and checked against our packing list for shortages and damaged merchandise at the time of delivery. Note any damages or shortages on the bill of lading or delivery receipt before signing it.

FREIGHT CLAIMS

LIGHT Helmets is not responsible for damages or loss in transit. We will, however, assist you in filing a claim if all the correct procedures have been followed. Call LIGHT Helmets Customer Service 760-444-0082 for assistance.
